Bible faces present in the pews!

Jeremiah 1:4-9

God ordains the man

God orders the man

God offers this advice to the man. Don’t be afraid of the faces in the crowd when you preach! If we consider it tonight, every time we get together in the house of God, the preacher looks out over a sea of faces that are present in the pews! Tonight, the Bible paints for us a picture of just about every face the man of God could ever see. I want to show you 6 Bible faces present in the pews tonight!

I. The Changed Face! Exodus 34:29 – 30

Moses had the glow of one who had been with God, this is the kind of glow that we see on those that have been saved by the Grace of God! Who have had a life changing encounter with God!

II. The Concerned Face! Neh. 2:2-3

a. Burdened

b. Bothered

c. Broken by some disaster or trial

III. The Calloused Face! Jeremiah 5:3

a. Refused Chastisement

b. Refused Conviction

c. Refused Correction

There are those faces present in our pews in every service who are unmoved by singing and preaching, refusing, stone faced to accept any move of God in their lives. Rejecting any Godly message that seeks to correct error in their lives!

IV. The Colorless Face! Daniel 5

a. Face of foolishness

b. Face of fear

c. Face of fatality

Sometimes during the service, you can see the color drain! Why? They realize they have been found out!

V. The Confused face! Daniel 9:8

People are just plain mixed up today aren’t they!

a. Is there a  God

b. Is prayer real?

c. Is the Christian life worthwhile?

d. Can I really give up my old life..

e. Should I really live for God?

VI. Christ’s Face! Rev 6:16

The Face of Joy for us, Thank God when we gather together, He promises to be among us!! However the face of Joy for us, is a face of Justice, and Judgment for others!
